i have a NON inscribable gold serpent axe, someone told me they are worth alot of money if you still had one from back in the day that was gold and not inscribable. any one?

you have the tyrian one or the canthan 1 i believe the tyrian one is worth alot.

Canthan Version still drops, Tyrian dont, as answer for your quesion..

But canthan Versions r9 with some decent dmg mod sell for little cash, other reqs not rly (canthan = small skin), at tops worth ~100k for r9 15^50

Tyrian version in otherhand, Any req and dmg mod is worth little cash, better dmg mod and req = more, these might go up to thousands ectos.

Tyrian still drop, you have to run kilroy to get them as purple drops. And yeah I dont think those crappy knock off cathan ones will even get 100k...
